essay 1: why are you applying to the hec mba program now? what is the professional objective that will guide your career choice after your mba, and how will the hec mba contribute to the achievement of these objectives? (30 lines)
essay 1

interpreters have been pioneers at bridging the gap between continents and societies and making cultural exchange possible. having worked as an interpreter, ive had the privilege of meeting a variety of people from all walks of life and to have worked with them in various settings

thus, i have developed excellent interpersonal, communications, and cultural skills and i have also become a more intellectually curious and well-rounded person. although i have thoroughly enjoyed my work up till today, i would now like to build upon my experiences and skill sets and work in a more creative and challenging capacity within an organization

with my past experiences, skill sets, and work ethic, combined with the rich education, resources, and training from hecs mba program, i have no doubt that ill be able to successfully achieve my future career goals.

having traveled abroad numerous times, i became fascinated with the different perception of product brands across various countries. in my early days of travel, i had assumed that what was popular in korea, must also be popular in europe and the americas

i could not have been more wrong! i later realized that marketing and brand managers must face exciting challenges when building a global brand image across different cultures. the combination of creativity, critical thinking, flexibility, and business savvy needed to succeed at this work make it highly exciting and attractive to me as a long-term career

after graduation, my goal is to get on track to a product brand marketing or management position. with its diverse student body, specialized program structure, strong ties with prominent multinationals, vast alumni network, distinguished faculty, and its location in the fashion capital of the world, the hec mba program is undoubtedly the best suited to prepare me for success

the diverse student mix will allow me to continue to gain valuable cultural knowledge and to understand key factors that shape peoples thinking. the program structure will teach me general management knowledge while also allowing me to specialize in an area of expertise, management of customer value (marketing), which is the focus of my education

hecs corporate ties, the hec foundation, and alumni network will also provide me with resources related to research, job placement, industry information, and professional networking. due to the personal experiences ive had so far i consider myself as having a cultural mba, so now all i need is a business mba from hecs mba program to help me achieve my full potential and to succeed in my chosen career path!
essay 2: what achievement are you most proud of? (15 lines)

having lived in korea my entire life, in the country known as the hermit kingdom, i have always been very interested in learning about foreign people and cultures. so when i had the opportunity to volunteer as a director at a summer english camp, i gladly accepted

i was thrilled at the prospect of spending the summer working with both children and a diverse group of 40 counselors. the first few weeks were trouble-free, but as time passed, i noticed some tension amongst the teams of counselors, who were comprised of different nationalities, which created an uneasy atmosphere at the camp

to try to remedy the situation, i held evening snack sessions twice a week so everyone could get to know each other better. i also reassigned counselors every week so they all could have a chance to work together

lastly, i suggested to the program coordinator to include a talent show in the schedule every friday night. with this done, everyone was busy planning and practicing for the talent show and i could see my ides were effective

summer camp ended up being a big success and a memorable experience for everyone. from this experience i gained a valuable lesson about the power of using diplomacy, cooperation, and teamwork when dealing with conflicts and multi-cultural issues   (ÀÌÇÏ »ý·«)
