The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning and directions of case management at the Community Social Welfare Center. With a special focusing on the value and perspectives of case management, multi-case qualitative research has been implemented to answer the two key research questions, the meaning and directions of social welfare case management practices. Collecting data through in-depth interview with 4 case managers from Community Social Welfare Center, the study found four different main themes regarding meaning of case management practices, such as ¡®Establishing a human perspective¡¯, ¡®Bringing our own strengths¡¯, ¡®Expanding boundaries¡¯, ¡®Working toward broader community context.¡¯ Regarding future directions of case management practices, the participants shared another four core themes, ¡®Addressing the value of case managers¡¯, ¡®Roles of supervisors allowing the right direction¡¯, ¡®Establishing broader working relationships¡¯, and ¡®Work autonomy, rather than reducing case-loads.¡¯ Based on the major findings of the study, authors suggested the necessity of customized training for managers and supervisors, establishment of unique strengths of community welfare centers, ways to integrate the different functions of the center, and the efforts for client-centered approaches.

The fundamental cause of much of the confusion in case management practice is its lack of definition. This study analyzes the presentation of the case management concept in the literature and its definition in order to identify the issues related to these definitions. In analyzing the literature relating to the case management concept since the 1980s, I find that it has not been a regular focus. The study results show that the case management concept has not appeared regularly in the analysis of the related literature. Among the major issues of case management that do not appear regularly, the first concerns whether the term case management is valid or not.The second concerns whether more emphasis is placed on the supply of direct service or on that of indirect service, or whether it is desirable to integrate both services. Third, the relationship between case management and social work practice is analyzed. Further research is necessary on these concepts, case management and the related issues, with consideration for the domestic environment and the orientation of social work practice.

Smart city is an urban development vision to integrate multiple information and communication technology(ICT) and Internet of Things(IoT). The goal of building a smart city is to improve the quality of life by using urban informatics and technology to improve the efficiency of services and meet residents' needs. Many devices in today have been used on various industrial regions. These devices use Internet to transfer their informations. We call these situations as the IoT(Internet of Things). We studied various application examples of IoT in smart city industrial region. In this paper, we described two actual cases such as smart park system and smart bin.

In 2011, South Korea¡¯s Ministry of Health and Welfare started a national tooth brushing room program without a pilot project. This study aimed toassess the effect of the implementation of this program in Gangneung, Korea. One-year outcomes of oral health behavior and self-reported oralsymptoms in the study group after installation of the tooth brushing room were evaluated and compared with those of the control group usingchi-square test. The prevalence rate of good self-rated oral health in grade 1¡­3 students increased from 35.7% immediately after installation to48.9% after 6 months (p=0.031) compared to 37.3% in the control group (p=0.051). Immediately after installation of the tooth brushing room, 53.5%of grade 1¡­3 students in the study group brushed their teeth every day, but after 6 months, only 35.5% of students brushed daily (p£¼0.001)compared to 28.6% in the control group (p=0.007). The prevalence rate of bad breath in grade 1¡­3 students was 26.2% for the study groupimmediately after installation compared to 25.5% in the control group (p=0.065), but it declined 16.5% after 6 months (p=0.055). The prevalencerate of bad breath in grade 4¡­6 students was 14.7% for the study group after 6 months compared to 25.3% in the control group (p=0.016). Werecommend the creation of a healthy school environment through a school-based tooth brushing program under the active supervision ofclassroom teachers and the continuous monitoring of program processes in order to promote children's oral health.

A Study of Legal Issues Related to the Sport Prediction Market

The government currently provides various types of ¡°art incubator¡± programs that promote Creative Economy, especially supports for start-up in arts than ever. Therefore, various arguments and concerns came up on this point: What is start-up in arts, what is needed for a successful start-up in arts, and how artists can keep a balance between arts and business. In this paper, we developed a discussion around the following three topics. First, by considering the relevant prior literature, this study examined the meaning and the concept of artists entrepreneurship, and relevant start-ups. Second, we investigated the sustainable growth in arts business based on the comprehensive entrepreneurship support programs. Third, by exploring Ye-Kun-Dae Project, we presented an activation plan and discussed the meaning and value of cases of start-up incubator for artists. We conducted in-depth interviews and case analyses. In result, we discovered that when artists establish a business, they do not simply pursue the economic profit, considering characteristics of the arts such as value, virtue, and ecology. Entrepreneurship in arts business should include a social role and function of the artist. If we want to talk about the success of arts business, we should consider aspects such as social contribution, cultural and artistic value, as well as the contents of artistry and profitability.

A Descriptive Study on Monitoring the Implementation of Case Management for Persons with Chronical Mental IllnessSo-young MinThis study described the critical ingredients in monitoring case management implementation for the persons with chronical mental illness in the community mental health centers. The survey and interviews were conducted to the 48 Model-type community mental health centers. Three major case management approaches have been found among the community mental health centers: rehabilitation-oriented, strengths-oriented, and linking-oriented approaches. Even though centers identified themselves as utilizing different approaches, there were found similarities among 48 community centers in terms of characteristics of clients, staffing, organization, and services: a high client-to-staff ratio, a majority of an individual approach to clients, the small number of in vivo contacts with clients in their homes and in community settings, and the provision of comprehensive but not-to-be-reached-out services.This study discussed a case management model which can be adopted in the community mental health centers in Korea.
