본 연구는 학교 발전과 혁신을 이끌어가기 위한 학교장의
역할과 중요성이 강조되고 있는 이 시점에서 특별히 교장 평가 지표를 개발하여 타당성과 신뢰성 등을 검증하고, 나아가 교장의 직무수행능력 개발에 기여하며, 교원능력개발평가 체제 발전의 이론적 기초를 제공하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 교장평가를 위한 지표의 타당성 신뢰성을 검증하기 위하여 경기?광주?대전?충남의 초?중등 교사 498명과 교감, 교장 108명의 설문을 받아 분석하였다(회수율 60.6%). 타당성 검증을 위하여 요인분석을 실시하였으며, 신뢰성, 적합성 검증을 위해서 Cronbach ? 분석을 했다. 탐색적 요인분석의 결과 ‘학교 경영 관리’, ‘학부모 및 대외협력 관계 지원’, ‘교수?학습 환경 지원’, ‘교실수업 개선 지원’, ‘교원전문성신장 지원, 특별활동 지원’이라는 6가지 요인으로 묶였다. 요인 분석한 결과 교장의 직무 수행에 대한 교원들의 인식이 많이 변화되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 앞으로 교장 평가를 위한 참고자료가 될 것이다.
The purpose of this study is
to develop indices for teacher evaluations for professional development, especially, the indices of principal evaluations. It is to verify the validity and the reliability of the study based on the analysis of statistical methods. These methods are factored analyses, multiple regression analyses and they use Cronbach's a. The major purposes of these studies are (1) To offer the indices for principal evaluations to verify the validity and the reliability, (2) To offer a theoretical basis of growth on behalf of the teacher evaluation system, (3) To contribute to the development of the ability of the principal's job. In order to attain this purpose, the sample of this study is made up of 1000 teachers and principals and vice-principals in primary and secondary school around nation. The result of analyzing the construct validity of the standard by means of exploratory factor analysis was tested and eight factors were extracted. They explained 69% of all variances. Six factors are usable to become the factor loading value; some of those factors are over .30. Six factors are as follows (1) School management and administration, (2) supporting school parents and community relations, (3) supporting teaching and learning surroundings, (4) supporting classroom teaching improvement, (5) supporting improvement of teacher's professional ability (6) supporting extracurricular activities.
