본 연구는 집단상담에서 어린 시절 상처 치유 경험을 한
이들이 이후 부부관계에 어떤 변화과정을경험하는지 그 의미와 체험의 구조를 밝힘으로써 상담 현장에 치료적으로 활용되는데 기초 정보를 제공하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 연구 참여자들의 체험을 심도있게 기술하고 그러한체험에 나타난 본질적인 요소를 도출하는 지침을 제공하는 Giorgi의 기술현상학적 연구방법을 사용하였다. 본 연구는 집단상담에 참여한 경험이 있는 결혼 생활 10년 이상 된 기혼자 6명을 심층면담하고그 결과 27개의 하위 구성요소와 10개의 구성요소를 도출하여 그 경험을 통합적으로 기술하였다. 그내용은 ‘힘든 부부관계 속에서 애쓰며 살아 옴’, ‘나와 부부관계 변화를 기대하며 집단에 참여함’, ‘내면아이를 만남’, ‘상처 치유의 중요성을 깨닫고 나를 돌보기 시작함’, ‘갈등과 혼란기를 겪으며 부부각각의 건강한 회복을 소망함’, ‘배우자를 바라보는 관점이 바뀜’, ‘나와의 소통이 배우자와의 소통의밑거름이 됨’, ‘배우자를 역할이 아닌 존재로 만남’, ‘진짜 나를 만나며 주체적 삶을 살게 됨’, ‘참만남이 확장됨’ 이었다. 본 연구는 배우자에 대한 실존적 이해가 부부가 서로 존재로서 만나는 참만남을가능하게 한다는 것을 경험적으로 밝혀냈다는 것, 향후 부부상담 분야에서 어린 시절 상처 치유를 통합적으로 적용할 수 있는 구체적인 자료를 제공했다는 점에서 그 의의를 갖는다.

This research was done to und
erstand how people who experienced healing in childhoodundergo marital relationship changes with group counseling. Methods: By using Giorgi's phenomenologicalresearch methodology, an in-depth interview was conducted on six married persons who have been marriedfor more than ten years and had an experience of group counseling. Results: The research resultintroduced 27 sub-components and 10 major components. The contents of the 10 major components were:“struggled to live on through the difficult marriage relationship,” “participated in the counseling in hopesfor a change in relationship,” “encountered my inner child,” “began to take care of myself after realizingthe importance of healing,” “desired for a healthy recovery of each other after experiencing conflict andconfusion,” “changed my perspective of looking at the spouse,” “communication with myself initiatedcommunication with the spouse,” “encountered the spouse for his/her existence rather than his/her role,”“begin living independently after meeting the real me,” and “real meeting was extended.” Conclusions:The research is significant as it empirically reveals that having an existential understanding on one's spouseenables the couples to truly encounter each other, and as it provides specific data for applying childhoodhealing comprehensively to marital therapy in the future.
