This study aims to establish
proper standards of practice for the supporting staffs in educational administration and to suggest the efficient management system by performing a job analysis in order to effectively support the teachers in handling excessive amount of the administrative workload. In order to suggest the efficient strategy for human resource management in educational administration, the study analyzes the current supporting staffs and the previous government policies in their efforts to reduce the burden of excessive administrative workload on teachers. Thus, it attempts to establish the proper standards of practice and seeks the solutions for efficient utilization and management of supporting staffs in educational administration. The surveys were conducted with the participation of head teachers, employees in administration department and supporting staffs at model schools that adopted the system with supporting staffs and 18 other regular schools. Based on the results of qualitative research, the study suggests the following; ¨ç supporting staffs should be first assigned to small schools with large amount of administrative workload and expand this system in an order based on such priority, ¨è supporting staffs should be utilized in a way that meets the purpose of reducing administrative workload of teachers, ¨é the principals of the schools have the right to decide the working places to where supporting staffs will be assigned in order to realize the school-based management system.   (ÀÌÇÏ »ý·«)
