Toegye, the most prominent ko
rean confucian and Jacque Lacan, the post-modern french scholar do not share at all theirspace-time but in their spirit they have in common that they usethe topology(or schema) in the core of his vast philosophicalsystem. In particular, they desire to present clearly andcompressively the theory of nature and mind through the triangularstructure using X-schema(Chiasmus). Ten diagrams of SageLearning and ?crits are the publication which is dissolved in thisscheme-philosophy.Toegye introduced the six X-shape in his Ten diagrams of SageLearning. Scheme X is a dialectical symbol, in which melt thesubject who is the condensation of mom and dad/heaven andearth/yin and yang and heavenly circle also, and through this sign,Toegye succeed to explain consistently the core concept ofconfucianism such as xing[àõ] and ging[ï×] and weifa[Ú±Û¡] andyifa[ì«Û¡] in the conception ¡®gyoung(Ì×)¡¯. Toegye successfully tiedthe nature and mind in the one ring by laying gyoung(Ì×) aroundthe center of gravity of the X-schema.Lacan have established the X-topology in his ?crits through hisL, R , I schema. Like as Toegye had developed his scheme assuccessor of Chu-tzu, Lacan also succeeded the problems ofFreud's Oedipus complex, which was the most problematic concept in Western intellectual history, and eventually overcome thecontradictions that Freud did not loosen by recalling the schemeR. Lacan restores the desiring subject by calling ¡®metaphorepaternelle' that is, moving the marginalized self who stayed in theeconomy of imaginaire to the economy of symbolic through histriangular diagram. The desiring subject obtains his identity byencompassing the imaginary-symbolic-realistic world through hisenunciation. As a result, X scheme, which is across the East andthe West, is one eloquent words that prove the nature and mindis constructed as mathematics so universally and self-evidently.Also the fact is found that the human being, which means thesubject as I, enjoy a jouissance in the meaning of Lacan and fearand revere(Ì×èæ) in the meaning of Toegye.   (ÀÌÇÏ »ý·«)
