Heemphasized importance of describing Chu-tzu¡¯(ñ¹í)s works, andpicked important correspondences from Chu-tzu¡¯s works tocompiled them into 20 books with interpretation and historicalinvestigation. Yi¡¯s accomplishment was significant in studyingChu-tzu in Chosun dynasty. Yi¡¯s published ?Joojaseojulyo? tocomplete his character. He tried to find the right way throughstudying Chu-tzu, and sought to share his vision with the othersby studying his own books together. ?Joojaseojulyo? was publishedmainly for education purposes. I analyzed purpose of publishing ?Joojaseojulyo? and its educational implications focusing on prologueof ?Joojaseojulyo?. ?Joojaseojulyo? has been underestimated,perhaps because of stereotype that it was a ¡®Compilation withoutunique value¡¯. I believe that this ?Compilation? is an essence of Yi¡¯sstudies. As in the modern society, studies and actions are separated,and education cannot influence character building and socialdevelopment, ?Joojaseojulyo? shows us the right direction ofeducation.
