A recent major change in Kore
a's welfare system can be characterized by expansion of socialservices. As the interest in social services is high and the actual supply of social services rapidlyincreases, the main task of the current social service delivery system is to improve the quality ofservices. Based on these concerns, this study suggests models of performance management systemwithin agencies and quality evaluation system outside of agencies. In the study, I provide theconcept, need, and practice methods of performance management system within the agencies. Thequality evaluation system is conceptualized as a process of examining if the agency's effort tomanage its performance is better than an appropriate level. In the study, I propose to establish anational agency that assumes full charge of social service quality management. More specifically, Iprovide the status and roles of such an agency and a plan to integrate the current fragmentedsocial service evaluation systems into a single national system.   (ÀÌÇÏ »ý·«)
