This study is a qualitative r
esearch to examine the effectiveness of multicultural education forpreservice teachers who have taken the multicultural education courses already. The participants ofthe study comprised of 12 students. The results are as follows. Before they took the multiculturaleducation courses, they had not fully understand about the multicultural understanding and the levelof multicultural competency was low. However after they had taken the multicultural education, theyshowed a increase of multicultural competencies. First, on the multicultural education perception, theycognized the multicultural education as preventive one, and realized that it needed the suitable andintegrated curriculum. Second, the multicultural attitudes were changed into open attitudes such asinterracial marriage and in acception which South Korea coexists with intercultural people. Third, onthe multicultural education attitudes, they had an efficacy toward multicultural education. And in thefuture they want to practice integrated multicultural education, in addition their multiculturalmotivation and self-confidence occurred.   (ÀÌÇÏ »ý·«)
