Lady G
Lady G lived in a small count
ry which isn¡¯t well known to the world. It was almost impossible to see a foreigner from other ethnicity there. Her father was Japanese and her mother was black. And her grandfather was Swedish and grandmother was Native American. So, Lady G had severely different look from other people in the country. As she grew up, she had to face various types of discriminations because of her different look. In school, she was bullied. Even teachers didn¡¯t like her. On the street, people were pointing at her, or staring at her. But she didn¡¯t care. She was a strong girl. Fascinated by her attitude, her classmate became very interested in her. They met each other for several times, and then decided to go out. However, things did not go very smooth. People started to make fun of their relationship saying he is a crazy guy going out with a freak. He tried to defend himself and Lady G, but people around them never stopped. Being sick and tired, he and Lady G decided to end their relationship. Lady G¡¯s heart was torn off. It felt so painful. ¡°My first relationship¡¦Ended like this¡¦¡± she said. She fell into deep depression.
After a few months, she was c
hanged. Her mind was so clear and full of passion for being a singer. Lady G always wanted to be a singer. She wanted to stand in front of everyone although people didn¡¯t want to see her on stage. One day, she got an audition. She was so thrilled. With full of ambition and excitement, she opened the door and entered. There were three interviewers. She looked at them and smiled. But their facial expression wasn¡¯t very bright. ¡°Show me what you¡¯ve got.¡± One of the interviewers said. She couldn¡¯t let this opportunity go away. So, she started to sing sincerely, but passionately. The interviewers were amazed by her talent. She had powerful voice, yet sweet and lovely. One thing they had in mind was her look. What they were thinking was, ¡®Would people accept the way she is? Her look?¡¯ But they really had no option, but to admit that she was so good and talented. She was chosen by the interviewers. She was extremely surprised. She felt like she got everything.
Now she entered in vocal trai
ning program. She practiced very hard. She never wanted to let go this opportunity. When her throat was too damaged, she listened to her own singing trying to fix flaws. When she sang, she could forget sadness, depression and loneliness, and felt her wounded heart being cured. This is why she always wanted to be a singer. She liked to sing love songs thinking about the bittersweet relationship in the past with the classmate.
Finally, the train was over.
Now, it¡¯s time to step on the stage, in front of everybody. Suddenly, she became so nervous. Would people welcome her? Her body was in so much tense. ¡°What are you doing? You have to get on there now!¡± A staff member whispered desperately. She slowly walked toward the stage. Now, she was on the stage. All the cameras were shooting her. People were staring at her with oddness in their faces. She was frozen. Then, the melody of her favorite love song began to fill the whole stage. She started to flashback through her memories with her first love. She reminded why she wanted to sing. She slowly began to open her mouth. Her message about sad love transmitted through her powerful, but lovely voice mixed with sorrowful melody. She totally moved the audiences. When she finished singing, everybody stood up and clapped demanding for another one.
Now, Lady G is in 40s. She ha
s two kids. She got divorced a few years ago. But she¡¯s still popular. She even published her autobiography. One day, she was at the backstage, waiting for her turn to sing. And Lady G wannabe came in, asking for her signature. Lady G welcomed the wannabe. ¡°What brought you here?¡± Lady G asked. ¡°I read about your book. And I was inspired by your unbreakable willpower. Your ability to overcome hardships and fluctuations. The true quality that one must possess.¡± The wannabe said.
