In recent years, our understanding of complex networks has improved. Community structure as a common characteristic of complex networks has become an important direction in the study of complex networks. Meanwhile, people put forward many community detection algorithms. To original Largest Fitness Measure algorithm, the selection of seed node is random, community division needs to be improved, and it is difficult to achieve its end condition. Based on above problems, we propose a kind of Weight Largest Fitness Measure algorithm. According to the thought of potential energy, the new algorithm optimizes and handles initial node, simplify node fitness function and expand community according to potential queue. Finally, through two groups of experimental validate the performance of the algorithm. The experimental results show that, compared with Largest Fitness Measure algorithm, the new algorithm has higher accuracy and shorter run time.

High flexibility is one of the key requirements imposed on die attach materials for most MEMS packages as temperature changes during assembly and application lead to thermo-mechanical stress resulting from thermal mismatch, i.e. dissimilar coefficients of thermal expansion of substrate, chip and adhesive. A distortion of the signal characteristics of the extremely stress-sensitive MEMS device may be the consequence of this thermo-mechanical stress. In addition to maximum flexibility, easy processing is becoming increasingly important for MEMS die attach adhesives due to increasing volume and progressing miniaturization. Thin, accurate bondlines and fillets are essential for ever smaller packages. Screen printing is one promising application process which combines high UPH and accurate dispensing patterns. However, the use of standard MEMS die attach adhesives based on silicones for new screen printing processes is challenging. Tailing and spreading of the adhesives is difficult to prevent. For the first time, newly developed adhesives provide an outstanding combination of high silicone-like flexibility and outstanding processability similar to adhesives based on epoxies, giving them a competitive edge over currently used MEMS die attach adhesives. In particular, the performance in screen printing is unique for adhesives with high flexibility. This paper describes highly flexible, heat-curing adhesives with Young's modulus values down to 5 MPa (0.73 ksi) at room temperature on the basis of mCDs which is a chemistry patented by DELO. DMTA measurements show that storage at temperatures up to +120 #x00B0;C (+248 #x00B0;F) does not cause adhesive embrittlement that could affect the MEMS package's reliability. The curing temperatures of these adhesives are extremely low down to +100 #x00B0;C (+212 #x00B0;F), which reduces stress development during the assembly process. In addition, the adhesives based on mCDs have very process-friendly properties, allowing bondlines up to 50 #x03BC;m in one needle dispensing step, do not show any tailing in showerhead dispensing, and are suitable for new dispensing methods such as screen printing. Here, structure widths down to 100 #x03BC;m are possible with hardly any spreading.

A strong link exists between spatial abilities and academic and professional success in STEM. The development of spatial skills is influenced directly or indirectly by a vast array of factors including academic experiences as well as gender, race, ethnicity, culture, primary language, and socioeconomic status. Numerous previous studies of spatial ability in STEM students have focused on improving spatial skills through interventions to reduce the gender gap and to increase academic success and retention of women in STEM. Cross-cultural variations in spatial ability among the general population are robust, but research is needed to understand whether cross-cultural differences are manifest among the global STEM student population. This paper contributes to that understanding by presenting analysis of the spatial ability of Irish and Gulf States students entering STEM at an institution of higher education in Ireland. The spatial ability of Gulf States students was significantly lower than the spatial ability of Irish students; the spatial ability of both groups was found to be markedly lower than STEM students from the United States, Germany and Poland. The identification and removal of barriers to academic success is of particular interest in the context of current efforts to increase the number of engineering graduates entering the global workforce. This work-in-progress paper also describes the implementation of a targeted intervention to improve the spatial skills of students with weak ability.

This paper outlines the results of current research in reconstruction and popularisation of the Nerva Forum in Rome, dating from imperial Rome and the high medieval period, which aroused interest in terms of technological innovation applied to communication of cultural heritage through navigation in #x201C;real time #x201D; and use of #x201C;augmented reality. #x201D; Through Blender and its internal #x201C;game engine #x201D;, it was possible to innovatively experiment with real time navigation using the 3D model for reconstruction of the Forum in the two periods considered, with the possibility of quickly switching between models to verify analogies and differences between the historical periods reviewed, in addition to interacting and displaying some descriptive evidence of major objects in the Forum.

Law enforcement agencies around the world use biometrics and fingerprints to solve and fight crime. Forensic experts are needed to record fingermarks at crime scenes and to ensure those captured are of evidential value. This process needs to be automated and streamlined as much as possible to improve efficiency and reduce workload. It has previously been demonstrated that is possible to estimate a fingermark's evidential value automatically for image captures taken with a mobile phone or other devices, such as a scanner or a high-quality camera. Here we study the relationship between a fingermark being of evidential value and its correct and certain identification and if it is possible to achieve identification despite the mark not having sufficient evidential value. Subsequently, we also investigate the influence the capture device used makes and if a mobile phone is a considerable option. Our results show that automatic identification is possible for 126 of the 1,428 fingermarks captured by a mobile phone, of which 116 were marked as having evidential value by experts and 123 by an automated algorithm.

Differences of depressed and normal peoples' behavior in identification tasks is explored for a long time in cognitive science experiments. Words, pictures and emotional faces were introduced into psychological experiments in latest studies. However, usually the priming effect of images is used frequently, which is not according with people's common sense. In this paper, competing effect is introduced. We selected two kinds of background scenes based on image voting results: negative scenes and positive scenes for testing. Correspondingly, positive faces and negative faces were also utilized as testing images. Three experiments were designed considering both the initiation and the distraction effect of background, especially the third experiment considering both priming effect and competing effect simultaneously. According to data analysis results, there exists more significant discrepancy considering competing effect in identification speeds and identification discriminations between depressed people and normal people.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) has designed a hybrid electric vehicle which utilizes regenerative braking and a diesel generator in order to expand the range of the vehicle. This endeavor was made possible by the EcoCAR 2 competition sponsored by the Department of Energy, General Motors, and Argonne National Laboratory. This paper will discuss the components used to convert a Chevrolet Malibu into a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV); as well as the control strategies used with these components. The strategies include controlling the diesel generator power plant (genset) and the floating zero point accelerator pedal map. Data taken from on road testing and the emissions and energy consumption event (E EC) for EcoCAR 2 will be analyzed to show the effect regenerative braking and aerodynamic modifications have on the overall range of the vehicle. Vehicle efficiency is also discussed. The intent of this paper is to show how the overall mileage of the vehicle can be improved with regenerative braking while improving consumer acceptability with systems such as the floating zero point pedal control.

This paper discusses the suitability for Business Excellence Models (BEMs) to include Corporate Sustainability on business model criteria. The conceptual paper brings discussion of what sort of measures are required to fit organizations' needs in measuring performance in terms of economic, social, and environment bottom-lines. A literature review has been conducted for BEMs that includes the EFQM Excellence Model, Baldrige Model, ISO standards, GRI, and explores its integration with Corporate Sustainability. Then, an analysis is deployed in order to identify common frameworks and metrics used for assessing sustainability in the three dimensions of bottom-lines. Despite there are better frameworks to assess corporate sustainability, Business Excellence Models (BEMs) were found to be suitable performance measurement frameworks to integrate Corporate Sustainability; however, business criteria remain unclear and ambiguous, not addressing clearly how to measure Corporate Sustainability Performance. The research provides a general approach to explore suitability of BEMs to include corporate sustainability and it is limited in scope as some organizations' have specific maturity levels in both: deploying BEMs and corporate sustainability. Further research include the suitability of current economic systems to reach corporate sustainability, and the use of lean-six sigma methods to support corporate sustainability at strategic and operational levels.

From 2010 until 2015, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sasebo College of Technology, Japan, has conducted an employment competence development curriculum involving the practical guidance of younger students by senior students in order to nurture students' employment competence. This paper introduces the content of this curriculum and reports on the verification of its educational effectiveness based on the results of a four-year questionnaire survey. It investigated various aspects of educational competence to identify the competencies that senior students gained as well as the competencies they thought difficult, important, or interesting. The paper also presents guidelines for a future curriculum based on the results of the survey.

This contribution is oriented to extend the possibilities of circuits simulation illustration that can be used in music or sensor technology. A typical example is Chua's circuit, which at bifurcation of only one parameter can generate a number of attractors. These can be showed not only in image format, but also as sound using Matlab application. Core decomposition has been applied widely in the visualization and analysis of massive networks. However, existing studies of core decomposition were only limited to non-temporal graphs, while many real-world graphs can be naturally modeled as temporal graphs (e.g., the interaction between users at different time in online social networks, the phone call or messaging records between friends over time, etc.). In this paper, we define the problem of core decomposition in a temporal graph, propose efficient distributed algorithms to compute the cores in massive temporal graphs, and discuss how the technique can be used in temporal graph analysis.

In this paper, the effect of high-vacuum annealing with crystallinity-damage recovery on mechanical characteristics of Ga-implanted Si nanowires (NWs) fabricated by focused ion beam (FIB) is described. We have specially designed and developed #x201C;Beetle-like #x201D; tensile test device, presented for the first time, enables us to directly tension 10 ~ 200 nm-wide Si NWs with high precision. Also, we have established the test technique to perform the tensile testing with in-situ observation in a field-emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), which has the displacement measurement system by a digital image correlation using SEM image. In addition, #x201C;Cassette-type #x201D; sample preparation technique for Si NWs made from silicon on nothing (SON) membrane is contrived for annealing at 700 #x00B0;C in high-vacuum. After the annealing, Si NWs were sampled to the device without FIB observation, and tensile tested. The Young's modulus gradually recovers with increasing annealing time, whereas the strength drops first at 10 sec annealing and then slightly increases with annealing time. The difference in recovering process between these characteristics is discussed from the viewpoint of crystallinity recovery and Ga-nanocluster generation annihilation.

The main objective of this study is to establish a virtual prototyping model of a flexible four-bar mechanism and perform co-simulations using both mechanism model construction and control strategy development tools for the structure. Taking the four-bar mechanism as an example, a co-simulation control approach is introduced to study multi-body flexible dynamics. Lagrange approach is first implemented to study the dynamics model of a rigid four-bar mechanism, and co-simulations are conducted to investigate the responses of its flexible form made of various materials. Then, controller strategies are exercised to demand the four-bar mechanism to response as requested. The study verifies the feasibility to control of flexible multi-body mechanisms' traces.

In this paper we address the problem of identification of pictures and videos re-captured from LCD screens. We show that they often exhibit detectable periodic patterns that are caused by regular sampling grid of LCD screen and aliasing. We develop a method capable of detecting these patterns by using the theory of cyclostationarity. The term cyclostationarity refers to a special class of signals which exhibit periodicity in their statistics. Such signals have a frequency spectrum correlated with a shifted version of itself. Experimental results quantifying the performance of the developed method are also shown.

With the varied market demands and aggravated tourist industry competition, the typical tourism living on sightseeing has not satisfied the need of modern tourists. By analyzing the regularity and characteristics of cultural tourism resources, cultural tourism evaluation index system is constructed based on analytic hierarchy process. Rule layer of the established evaluation index system includes resource value, regional background environment and regional comprehensive condition. Expert scoring method is used to determine the weight of evaluation factor. At last, cultural tourism evaluation is carried out for some city in China. From the evaluation results, some decisions can be made to promote the development of cultural tourism resource.

A Backward Wave Oscillator (BWO) based on Double Corrugated Waveguide (DCW) is presented to operate at 0.346 THz. The dimensions of the DCW are defined to have high interaction impedance and low losses at a beam voltage of 13 kV. An efficient coupler with reduced length is designed to connect the DCW to WR-2 standard rectangular waveguide. Particle in Cell (PIC) simulations are performed using CST particle studio. The results show that the BWO can produce 500 mW cw output power.

AAA Restaurant Diamond Rating Guidelines (which is regarded as industry standards) rate a restaurant in three aspects: food, service, and de #x0301;cor/ambience. Drawing upon extant literature, we argue that special contexts and pricing are two other major aspects in restaurant rating in addition to aforementioned three aspects. We tested our hypotheses based on our text mining and sentiment analysis of 268, 442 customer reviews of 7, 508 restaurants on Yelp.com, A form of digital word-of-mouth. Results from fitting a multilevel model showed that the sentiments about each of these five aspects alone explained about 28% of the explainable between-restaurant variances, and 12% of the explainable within-restaurant variances of the restaurants' star ratings. With other level and control variables, the multilevel model can explain more than 53% between-restaurant variances and 28% within-restaurant variances.
