[자기소개서] 예제로 본 영문 자기소개서 쓰기
자기소개서는 주로 진학이나 취업을 위해 자신을 소개하는 목적으로 작성하는 글이다.
자기소개는 최근에 도입된 개념으로 우리나라 사람들은다른 사람들에게 자신을 알리는데 아직 익숙하지 않으며 특히 영어로 자기소개서를 쓰는데 미숙하다.그 요령을 오류예문을 통해 살펴보자.
<오류 예문> [예 1] personal essay
it gives me a pleasure to apply for join to your visiting scholar program. i have been thinking about this chance since i began to lecture by english at university
i would like to provide you with the following information about my backgound and study objectives.
[예 1]은 자기소개서의 첫 문단으로 전체 글에 대한 집약적인 소개이다.[예 1]은 문법적인 오류는 있으나 내용에는 무리가 없다.
[예 2]
i was born as a second child in my family. i have my parents, and two brother
especially myparents have been very generous to me because only one daughter. myfather is a soldier and my mother is a nurse
[예 2]는 자기소개서에서 자신의 가정환경에 대한 삽입문구로 필요한 부분이기는 하지만, 너무 간략하다.화목한 가정이라는 문구를 써 넣는 것만으로도 어느 정도 개선될 수 있을것이다.

sometimes, i miss mom that pray for the children early in the morning. she has always given encourgement instead of punishment to me
ilike and admire my mom, because she has had very positive thinking. also, i dont forget telling me to work hard in my life
she alwaystells me to be self-actualization in my life. i used to remember when she took the masters degree at the 50 ages
that is the pricelesslesson that i always keep in mind.
[예 3]은 가정환경에 대한 [예 2]의 내용에 이어서 자신의 성격을 보여주기 위한 예시를 쓰고자 한 것이지만, 예문을 살펴보면 어머니의 행실에대한 존경만 나타나있고 그것을 본받아 자신이 어떻게 변했고 자신은 어떤성격의 소유자인지에 대한 설명이 없다.
*자기소개서에 쓰이는 내용이나 예가 무엇이든 간에 자기소개서는 자신을설명하기 위한 글이라는 것을 결코 잊어서는 안된다. (이하 생략)
