ÀÚ±â¼Ò°³¼ ¿¹¹® autobiographical essay
since childhood i have enjoyed working with my hands. i thrived on the challenges of creative and artistic tasks
i have always been attracted by the astonishing power of art that makes life enjoyable for people with its creativity and imagination. my childhood pastime fostered my decision to major in art
entering college, i chose stage design as my major.stage design is an attractive and inspiring field of art, in that a large body of audience simultaneously feels and appreciates my work.at the same time, it is a demanding art work, as it focuses on creating a large-scale collaboration among such elements of stagecraft as lighting, set, costume, sound, and stage architecture.as an art major, learning the dynamic composition of various artistic aspects was more than enriching, but soon i had to confront the fact that i was not able to make the most of my artistic talent in stage design.i am more competent at delicate and detailed handwork rather than at large-scale theatre production.this awareness became the significant motivator for me to explore the possibility of changing my major to jewelry design.so i learned jewelry design in a private art institute for seven months in 2005.i discovered that i am a perfect fit for this field, which requires great concentration, attention to detail, excellent finger and hand coordination as well as an artistic flair.
studying jewelry art in the united states would allow me to gain a combination of theoretical and practical training, develop the aesthetic dimension of my design, and broaden my design ability to deal with various materials. i believe the united states is the best place for me to create a new style of art without limitations in exploring and experimenting with new areas of artistic expression
