flat rules properties and privacy
the public property in this house includes: tissue, cleaning tools (gloves, sponges, scrubs, bleaches, sprays) and other things that the flatmates agreed to share. they are bought using flat public funds and shared by everybody
refer to ¡®the flat public fund¡¯ clause.
other things are private property that each flatmate has to buy his or her own and store separately. these include but are not limited to food, body lotion, shampoo and toothpaste etc
the private properties are only shared voluntarily. nobody can use others¡¯ things or eat others¡¯ food without asking for permissions
the rooms of other flatmates are private. generally if the room door is closed, no matter if the room owner is at home or not, others cannot go into other flatmates¡¯ room without their permission
if the owner is inside, knock the door and wait for the owner to open the door or open the door only after getting permission. people should never open the door of other flatmates without knocking and waiting
if the door is open however, it is generally considered that people can come and drop by anytime. one can notify the owner inside with a knock but it is not mandatory
the flat public fund
the flat public fund is used for purchasing public properties, see clause ¡®properties and privacy¡¯ for definition of public properties. all flatmates put into the agreed amount into the fund
the purchase of public properties can be made by any flatmate and should be recorded in the flat public fund table. all purchasing receipt must be kept for reference
generally no payment should be made to the person who purchases without the receipt. cleaning duty
cleaning duty is restricted to the public area. people are responsible for the cleaning of their own rooms (i
e. you are free to clean your room whenever you want)
the only exception when a person is obliged to clean one¡¯s room is when the dirtiness of one¡¯s own room affects other flatmates. (ÀÌÇÏ »ý·«)
