Objectives: To identify the factors associated with the intention to undergo mammography among Korean women without a prior screening experience. Methods: Among 1,039 women of the general population, we selected 145 women (mean age: 54.2 years, age range : 40-78 years) without any prior experience with mammography. They were recruited for the 'Cancer Information Needs Assessment Survey' by using the method of random multi-stage cluster sampling. Data on the socio-demographic characteristics, intention to undergo mammography based on the Precaution Adoption Process Model, level of self belief and self efficacy for breast cancer screening, motivation for decision to undergo breast cancer screening were obtained by conducting a household survey. Results: Of the study subjects, 49.7% were classified as 'unengaged' and 'decided not to act' regarding breast cancer screening. Women with the intention to undergo mammography were more likely to be younger (OR 0.11, 95%CI 0.04-0.36), to have been recommended to undergo screening by others (OR 3.27, 95%CI 1.36-7.87), to have a high level of perceived sensitivity (OR 3.15, 95%CI 1.27-7.82), and to have a high level of self efficacy (OR 1.09, 95%CI 0.97-1.23). Exposure to campaigns and information regarding breast cancer screening, whether cancer patients are or not in around, perceived severity, perceived benefit, and perceived cost were factors that were not significantly associated with the intention to undergo mammography. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop tailored intervention strategies for women who have never undergone breast cancer screening on the basis of their demographic characteristics and factors that positively influence the intention to undergo mammography.

변화하는 사회에서 지식정보의 창출은 무엇보다 중요하다. 새로운 정보를 창출하기 위해서는 지식정보의 축적과 활용, 전달방식 및 전달속도 등 많은 측면에서 과거와는 차이가 다른 방식을 요구하고 있다. IT 기술 및 학문의 발달로 인하여 학문의 영역이 세분화되고 그 분야의 연구자나 전문가의 수가 늘어나며 또한 그 연구내용 및 결과를 발표할 수 있는 학회지나 전문학술지의 수가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 학문의 발달과 학술적인 연속간행물의 간행종수가 지수함수적인 관계를 가지고 증가한다는 사실도 전행연구를 통해서 알고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 동일한 학문분야를 전공하는 연구자들의 연구행태를 분석하여 그 분야의 연구자들이 주로 이용하는 학술지들이 어떤 것들이 있는가를 조사하고 해당 대학도서관에서 필수적으로 구독해야 할 학술지구독리스트를 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구는 국내 문헌정보학분야 학회지에 게재된 문헌정보학 전공교수의 연구논문을 대상으로 학회지별 게재논문에 대한 일차적인 분석을 하였다. 즉 학회지의 연도별 분석, 교수의 직급별 분석, 교수의 성별 현황, 소속대학별 게재논문 순위, 단독/공동 게재논문 순위, 교수 개인별 평균논문 건수, 게재논문의 주제 분류, 연도별 인응문헌의 자료유형 등을 분석하였다. 이차적으로 학술지 인용문헌 분석을 하기 위하여 학회지 게재논문 1,230편에 인용된 33,352편 중 인용빈도가 많은 국내외 학술지 130종을 대상으로 하여 국내외 학술지 연도별 인용빈도, 인용된 국내외 학술지의 수명, 국내외 학술지 인용빈도 등 항목으로 나누어 분석하였다. 마지막으로 인용빈도가 높은 전체 1.0%이상 인용된 국내외 43종의 학술지를 문헌정보학과가 개설되어 있는 대학도서관의 홈페이지를 통하여 구독여부를 조사하였다. 본 연구결과 인용빈도가 많은 국내외 학술지 130종 중 가장 인용빈도가 높은 43종을 선정하였다. 국내 학술지로는 '한국문헌정보학회지', '한국도서관 '정보학회지', '정보관리학회지', '도서관', '도서관문화' 순으로 인용이 많이 되었으며, 국외 학술지로는 'Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology', 'Library Trends', 'College and Research Libraries', 'Journal of Academic Librarianship', 'Library and Information Science Research' 순으로 인용되었다. 이러한 인용문헌 분석결과를 토대로 국내 문헌정보학과가 개설되어 있는 대학 도서관에서 문헌정보학분야 학술지를 선정, 구독하는데 필요한 기준을 제시하고자 하였다.
