Korean government is trying to make new policy for foreign nationals in Korea as the number of immigrants into Korea is increasing nowadays. A characteristic of Korea's changing policy is that the social integration for immigrants and Korean nationals is one of main issues following immigration management and residential management for foreigners.The social integration for immigrants and Korean nationals means that the immigrants in Korea is recognized as new regular community component of this society, not those who are scheduled to leave Korea. So, both parties of Korean society need to respect each other and to make society harmonious.This paper reviewed policy environment, law, regulation, institution and policy case related to the social integration policy. As the result of this study, I could find that this policy is very timely-proper policy in the changing time of policy environments. However, I also could find some trials and errors in the social integration policies and the limits of those governmental policies such as not making ultimate goals and visions of these policies.

The purpose of this study was to examine the peer relationship of the children with language delays in the integrated classes. 3 children with language delay from 2 childcare centers, located in D city, participated in the study and data were collected through the field observation during free time activities. Children with language delay use observation, approaching, suggesting play in order to start peer relationship. The relationship continues as the children with language delay get help from their peers, participate in physical play and language play. And the relationship stopped with the violent behavior of the language delay children and it results in ignoring behavior of peers. Based on the results, in improving the social behaviors of the language delayed children positively, teachers should recognize that their role is very important, they should provide familiar educational environment so that language delayed children could feel confidence, and they need to educate general children about how to respond to language delayed children appropriately.

Integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) is one approach to mitigate some of the negative environmental impacts associated with excess inorganic and organic nutrients of finfish aquaculture and has been steadily gaining momentum worldwide. This study aimed to evaluate environmental benefits as well as economic effectiveness of multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) compared to the monoculture system. Based on the biological and economic data collected from a pilot IMTA project for Korean rockfish(Sebastes schlegelii), Pacific oyster(Crassostrea gigas), and sea cucumber(Stichopus japonicus) in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do, South Korea, farming revenue and expenses during the farming period were evaluated. In addition, as index of economic evaluation, the net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR) of 10-year cash flow and cash outflow were estimated.
 The results of the economic analysis indicated that the IMTA system would have higher economic outcomes than those of the monoculture system. In particular, NPV and IRR of IMTA system were estimated to be higher than those of the monoculture system with the discount rate of 4.5%. The results of sensitivity analysis on survival rates and market prices as main biological and economic variables indicated that the economic viability of IMTA system would be less vulnerable to production and market condition changes in comparison with monoculture system. Finally, the environmental benefits of IMTA system were evaluated to be about 8.5 million¡­93.2 million KRW.

This study reviews issues regarding the unification of child care and kindergarten from the perspectives of child care and children's rights. This study argues that discussions in Korea surrounding the unification are focused on parents' needs and easing parents' financial burden of child rearing, or on unification as a solution of copying with social problems like low fertility rates, not as a solution of children's needs and their developmental rights to early childhood education.However, current discussions in favor of learning-oriented unification mainly focused on curriculum and certificates of teachers, could lead to the underestimation of values and comprehensive functions of child care, which in turn could lower the quality of child care. Such a concern is arguably rooted in the misunderstanding of early childhood education, reflecting the atmosphere of excessive competition in Korea.Discussion regarding the unification should be rather child care-centered, not children¡¯s learning-centered, so as for the balance between early childhood education and child care to be carefully pursued.In addition, this paper argues that free child care policy has to be revisited and amended because it can cause unnecessary overuse of child care services against children's interests. Finally this study maintains that unification agenda should be situated in the context of building social child-rearing support system, which pursues comprehensive interests of society as well as children and families.

¿µ¹®ÃÊ·Ï:Integrated education, mainstreaming, in Korea began to be discussed and implemented on a large scale in the 1990s. Especially, the Special Education Promotion Law amended and proclaimed in 1994 required the implementation of integrated education, which has occasioned it to become the general situation as the most effective method for education of disabled students. And the special education policy is directed towards integrated education and legally guaranteed. Subsec. 3 and 5 of Sec. 10 of the Enforcement Ordinance of the Special Education Promotion Law guarantees disabled students the institutional freedom to receive education in the general school. And according to the research report on the realities of special education issued by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, 716 elementary schools all over the country have established and operated the integrated class for the purpose of complete integrated education for elementary schoolchildren with disabilities. The number of the classes for integrated education accounted 1,396. 1,667 schoolchildren with disabilities are assigned to the general class under the full-time system and receiving complete integrated education. But schoolchildren with crippled disorder are experiencing discomfort because the integrated elementary schools have inappropriate convenient facilities and all sorts of teaching aids and the low rate of their readiness compared to the special school for the disabled. Accordingly, this study was intended to present the proper operational scheme and present the criterion for establishment of proper convenient facilities and its planning method and the proper method of laying all sorts of teaching aids out. For this purpose, it attempted to investigate the type of crippled disorder and the behavioral characteristics of schoolchildren with crippled disorder with a focus on the descriptive study on disabled schoolchildren receiving complete integrated education. And it sought to analyze the present situation of complete integrated education and the case of integrated education and dissect the realities of its operation and the realities of the establishment of convenient facilities for disabled schoolchildren with a focus on the survey research. As the research method, this study identified the present situation of integrated education in Korea and investigated the concept, operation and curriculum of integrated education. And it reorganized the obligation and recommendations stipulated in The Law on the Guarantee of Convenience Increase for the Disabled, Senior Citizens and the Pregnant with a focus on the use of the school facilities of the schoolchildren with crippled disorder to fit schoolchildren with crippled disorder, drew up the checklist and conducted the survey research. And it surveyed the realities of the current operation of integrated education and the teaching aids currently prepared in the elementary school through the simple interview with teachers. This study arrived at the conclusion that the following matters should be considered to implement efficient integrated education based on the contents surveyed by the theoretical investigation into integrated education and the use of the checklist:First, the school authority should actively reinforce the program for schoolchildren such as the improvement of consciousness or education on convenient facilities in relation to disability. Second, it is necessary to raise the establishment rate of convenient facilities in elementary school implementing integrated education and induce them to systematically used. Third, the school implementing integrated education should choose its proper teaching and learning methods and the teaching aids appropriate to the body of schoolchildren with disability and increase the educational satisfaction of schoolchildren with disabilities. Fourth, it is necessary to construct the more proper local linkage system. For example, it is conducive to the educational and social integration of schoolchildren with disabilities to exchange all sorts of information by means of the linkage with local hospitals or continual exchange with local schools as mentioned in Chapter 4. Fifth, the school implementing integrated education should overall modify and complement current laws and regulations and their related policies concentrated on facilities and installations in order to guarantee the movement, access and educational right of schoolchildren with disabilities.In addition, studies should be conducted concerning the realities of operation and the realities of teaching aids in special education from the dimension of the separate management of schoolchildren with disabilities. The purpose of this study was to examine the state of public libraries in the city of Cheongju and Cheongwon-gun in an effort to seek strategic ways of ensuring the succesful integrated operation of public libraries in the two areas. As a result of making an investigation, it's found that the public libraries in the two regions were desperately in want of librarians and infrastructure. To remedy the situation, it's necessary to map out strategies for the integrated operation of the libraries and to construct more libraries in every part of the areas. The followings should be taken into account when the two areas devise strategies for the integrated operation of the public libraries: First, a so-called ¡®integrated library center¡¯ should be set up to strike a balance between the influence of the two local governments. Second, every system of the public libraries should be incorporated to prevent a possible overlap of budget to guarantee operational efficiency. Third, a person who become a member of one of the local libraries should be allowed to make use of every library in the two regions. Fourth, the infrastructure of the libraries should be improved through the integrated operation of the libraries. Based on the strategies for the integrated operation of the public libraries in the two regions, there are some suggestions on the establishment and operation of libraries in five zones which were selected in consideration of population and the flow of human traffic on the premise that the two areas would be integrated: First, Sangdang Library should be selected as a main library in the middle zone, and branch libraries should be built and cover Bongmyeong-dong, Wuncheon-dong and Sinbong-dong. Second, Bukbu Library should be selected as a main library in the northern zone, and new branch libraries should be established and cover Naesu, Buki and Ohchang, and Mokryeong Library that was located in Ohchang should be selected as a branch library. Third, Nambu Library should be selected as a main library in the southern zone, and one or two new libraries should be established as branch libraries that will cover Gaesin-dong, Gagyeong-dong, Mipyeong-dong, Sannam-dong, Nami, Buyong and Hyeondo. Fourth, Seobu Library should be selected as a main library in the western zone, and Ohsong Library, Oksan Library and Sinyulbng Children's Library should be selected as branch libraries that will cover Oksan, Ohsong and Gangnae. Fifth, the current municipal library should be selected as a main library in the eastern zone, and a branch library should be established, which will cover Miweon, Nangseong, Gadeok, Namil and Muneui.
