Generally, small and medium scale enterprises have conventionally been performing diligence and indolence management by hand, but many of them have been recently costing a lot of money for their diligence and indolence management and security maintenance. But yet, they have annoying sides due to the initial stage cost for the introduction of the system which is consisted of a terminal for reading a card, an RFID card, an administrative server and an application program for the diligence and indolence management as well as the insufficiency of the fixing skill being able to cope with the problems originating from hardware and software troubles.For this reasons, we developed a new diligence and indolence management system that the initial stage cost is moderate because it is needless to purchase a new server and to issue a new card, and the operation and management of the system is convenient because an RFID card reader communicates with a central administrative server in IDC(Internet Data Center) over internet for the diligence and indolence management.

In recent diligence and indolence management systems, server and client are not separated and data are not convert into data base. Therefore these recent systems have several weaknesses such as data modification and management. In this paper, we propose a new Web-based Network Diligence and Indolence Management system (WNDIM) to solve the weakness and improve the system performance of recent system. The main features and contributions of the proposed system are as follows. First, server and clinet are separated, and all data are converted into data base, Second, with the construction of APM server the data modification and management are efficiently operated. Third, a political decision of the system is defined. Fourth, the system can efficiently support user-oriented services such as the collection of diligence and indolence data and the sum of off-duty days. From the implementation and performance evaluation of the proposed WNDIM, we can see the system can efficiently support the diligence and indolence management, currently we are using the proposed WNDIM system in the real filed.

Recently, the way to manage working hours has become an issue with the increase in the death rate from overwork. The Labor Standards Law doesn't provide the way to manage working hours, though it makes it obligatory to manage working hours. In general, it is impossible to strictly manage working hours because a worker manually manages his/her own working hours. Therefore, biometric authentication technology using face images is receiving attention. However, the existing technology using face images is unsuitable for time and attendance management because it requires the person to turn his/her face to the camera, taking time and effort. Therefore, we propose a method of managing time and attendance of workers without making the person conscious of the camera. In this research, firstly we extracted a frontal face image by tracking the face in a film. We then identified the individual using the frontal face image. Finally we output time and attendance information for each individual based on the result of identification.

It is inevitable to use the designs and digital styles of handwriting for exchanges and dissemination of the information in the modern society. In this regard, a computer can be largely considered as the meaning of writing brush. These changes of the times brought not only the rapid growth of digital styles of handwriting but also many changes in the design field. In particular, the form of warmth with light and shade expressed by the lines in calligraphy made another potential in the organization of two-dimensional designs. Due to the changes of design paradigm, proper methods should be reviewed in the design field. Hence, this study is aimed to investigate the new directions of design based on the integrative researches and cases with two-dimensional designs and lines of calligraphy. With respect to the study methods, literature reviews were performed including the artworks of Kan Tai-Keung who is a representative designer in China and international publications. Most of Kan Tai-Keung¡¯s designs were reorganized by application of elements for traditional Indian inks with his own interpretations. They are called as the essence of Oriental Indian ink design upon applications of Asian cultural elements such as the four precious things of the study, paperweight, clothing culture, and so on, with designs, progressively. Kan Tai-Keung¡¯s utilizations of lines and letters that were shown in his two-dimensional design are anticipated to generate the new potentials of the artworks by the contemporary designers.
