The purpose of this essay is
to reveal the moral freedom in the ConfucianPhilosophy. Under the assumption that there is freedom in moral action in theConfucian, I will examine the type of meaning of the practice method ofConfucian. The Confucian in modern time has been regarded as something thatdoes not suit with freedom or liberty at the thought that it restricts people incommunity through its relation-oriented characteristic and strong regulations. Inthis regard, the social relationship was regarded in the Confucian of the East asuniversal moral order and the moral norms established within were placed onhigh priority, whereas the original moral idea was explained in the West asindividual freedom by considering ¡®individual¡¯ as the subject of relationship. Inaddition, it can be suggested a new viewpoint for the history of thoughts onhuman nature in ancient china.   (ÀÌÇÏ »ý·«)
