3.1 movement : It is a resist
-Japanese movement.
3.1 movement appeared as a re
sistance to Japanese oppressive colonization. Having Korea under perfect control with militarism, Japan governed Korea with an iron fist and repressed in almost every part like political, economic, social and cultural ways. All kinds of the movements against Japan was suppressed and whoever did an anti-Japanese struggle was dragged into the jail and was tortured and got killed. Living conditions of Korean got really worse because of this political suppression and plunder. This flew Korean people into a rage and raised will to resist again Japan.

y the intellectual class but also people from a lot of different classes such as laborers, farmers and commerce and industry. It became a watershed in the history of an independence movement of Korea. It was something that showed will and potential power of Korea for becoming free and independent from Japanese imperialism. With this movement as a momentum, an independent movement became more systematic and organized. It awakened people to a sense for national and political consciousness. It also became a base for a lot of different movements and organizations to come out and be organized to grow.
